LornaLuxe sits down with Tabitha Webb for a chat about everything fashion

LornaLuxe is the coolest fashion blogger we know and so we were over the moon to hear she had fallen for the chic little Edie Dress for AW15. What's more, LornaLuxe chose the purple shift for her recent trip to Paris Fashion Week which she snapped for us here!

LornaLuxe says; "When I spotted Edie in a boutique in Belgravia… it was love. And Tabitha Webb delivers. A does-what-it-says-on-the-tin dress, a shift dress which channels my good-girl-gone-bad vibes a la Sedgwick and co. And the truth is, a dress with pockets just never falls out of flavour, she’s a keeper I can count on sticking around."

We decided to take the opportunity to ask LornaLuxe about her style and what to expect for the season ahead!

TABITHA WEBB: How do you describe your style?
LornaLuxe: Non-fuss, fearless and with an element of fun.

TABITHA WEBB: How does your blog influence what you wear?
LornaLuxe: It dictates it. Primarily because I like my social output (for social read Instagram) to be cohesive. Colour, styles, settings and locations... all of this is driven in sequence. I'm also loving the way new collaborations open my eyes to outfits and silhouettes that I wouldn't ordinarily try. Similarly just trying something new like the neckline on the Edie Dress for example is a departure for me and its winning.

TABITHA WEBB: What are your fail safe tips that you can share with us?
LornaLuxe: Always be comfortable. Also, consider sizing up and paying a little extra to have your pieces tailored. Most people don't know this but nearly everything I wear I usually have tweaked a little before wearing. It makes such a difference and adds that bespoke fit that isn't ordinarily available.

TABITHA WEBB: What are your tips for a taking the perfect Instagram picture?
LornaLuxe: For a selfie, natural daylight is your best friend. Failing that a filter or four. For general compositions I keep to the rules of three, flatlays work best from above, and where possible I include something personal in all my pics.

TABITHA WEBB: What are your must-have items for AW15?
LornaLuxe: As it's the season of the waist, for an instant update I'm employing bands, bows and belts to synch in my silhouette. I'm also going one further and introducing ruffles and frills to my winter repertoire. It's been a micro trend for two or three seasons now but after a heavy peppering on the LFW runways for SS16 I think it's a great one to catch early. Think victoriana blouses, tiered skirts and luxe fabrics ...cos let's face it, who doesn't want to be a step ahead of the fashion curve.

TABITHA WEBB: How important is a statement dress to your wardrobe?
LornaLuxe: I like a frock I can trust, and definitely one which complements my silhouette. The statement can't be made until the fit is just right. This season I'm intrigued by the extremes in the sixties, those early dresses so classic and restrained, then the contradiction of bright colours and shorter shifts and skirts as the decade tailed off. I'm looking to Mary Quant and Marianne Faithful for inspiration.

TABITHA WEBB: How do you accessorise dresses for day and for evening?
LornaLuxe:  I change shoes. For me that changes everything. If I wear a smart blazer and tassel loafers in the day, I'll unpeel the layers in the evening and partner up with a killer stiletto.

TABITHA WEBB: What trends are you seeing for SS16 that you are looking forward to?
LornaLuxe: I can't wait to get my mitts on some shiny metallic jacquard - fully endorsed by Proenza Schouler in NYC, Felder Felder in London and Isabel Marant in Paris

TABITHA WEBB: What’s next for you and your blog?
LornaLuxe: After six months in the planning, I launch my new-look blog next month. It's gearing up to be a huge shift away from what has been til now quite a minimal format. Fingers crossed my readers like it as much as I do.

LornaLuxe's Top Tabitha Webb Picks:

Which are your three favourite pieces from Tabitha Webb this season and how are you wearing them?

1) The Edie Dress in Purple will be my statement dress this season. I'll wear her year round but intend on pairing her up with a cute cap and over the knee boots this winter.

2) The Hermia Skirt paired with a black pussy bow blouse and vertiginous heels will be my day to night saviour.

3) I'm loving the Theodore Shirt Dress in raspberry, the billowy sleeves and Beaujolais hues are so hot this season. I'll wear her in the day with a woodstock-esque waistcoat and vintage boots.
